Playdate Wines - The “I Forgot This” Playdate
The I “Forgot This” Playdate
“Thursday, 4pm playdate? Sounds great we will be there”.
Thursday, 3:45pm a calendar reminder pops open - Playdate with Rebecca in 45 minutes!
Ohhhh S**t!
This, my lovely readers is the “I Forgot This” Playdate and I think we’ve ALL been there. With all the running around bringing kids to school, doing the laundry, the grocery shopping, working, cooking, cleaning, maybe sneaking in a little self-care (if you’re lucky) etc. it’s hard to keep track of EVERYTHING and I am the first to admit I have 100% forgotten about playdates until 10-15 minutes beforehand. Who else is with me here? It’s ok to admit we all have A LOT going on.
For this week’s wine pairing, I’ve selected wines that are easy to grab, straight off the shelf, light, bright, and in a can so even if you are a few minutes late to your destination there is no time wasted popping the cork and pouring a glass - it’s simply one click and input a straw! These wines will bring extra vivacity to over-compensate.
Little Fancy Peachy Rosé Wine Spritzer | With only 90 calories, 4g of sugar per can with natural flavor, your playdate friend will soon forget you were even a little late. It’s extremely light like a peachy rose water with fizz, dry and not too sweet! Even if you roll into the playdate a little disheveled with one shoe untied it’s sure to go unnoticed since your bringing a “little fancy” to this playdate. | ~$12.99 4pk
Lila French Rosé | If these cans don’t make your playdate friend forget you were late, I don’t know what will! A dry rosé with lots of watermelon gushers for a delicious playdate snack! The brand also fits perfectly as Lila comes from the ancient Sanskrit word for “play like the gods” which brings all the playfulness and adventure to your playdate through this wine! | ~$10.99 4pk
Wölffer Estate No. 139 Dry Rosé Cider | Apples and strawberries and freshness - OH MY! Loving Wolffer Estate Rosé Cider in a can and have been for a while! The apple gives it a slightly sweeter yet tart taste which I absolutely love. It’s extremely refreshing, perky and so easy to drink your playdate friend may only be focused on the can totally forgetting that you came in a hot mess, or did you? | ~$15.99 4pk
