Playdate Wines - The “Perfect" Playdate
“The Perfect Playdate” does indeed exist and you know exactly what it is. It’s when you pack up the fam and head over to have a playdate at your best friend’s house! You feel completely relaxed and utterly secure in the space you are in. You can actually have an adult discussion while your littles keep themselves preoccupied. I stop to take a deep breathe of relief when I type this because these playdates are my favorite - no judgements just joy of watching your children grow up together just as you did. These pairings are somewhat easy because - no judgments allowed ;). I’m looking for wines that are supple, a sure thing, smooth and super calming. So with that, here are a few wines to pair with your “Perfect Playdate.”

1. Doubleback Cabernet Sauvignon 2017 | This wine is just… PERFECT. We can all breathe a little easier simply by looking at this wine. A splurge worthy feast of chewy leather, energized with black pepper rounded out with elegant flavors of chocolate, blackberry, and cassis. This Walla Walla, WA wine is breathtaking and is sure to make your Perfect Playdate that much more perfect. A beautiful Burgundy style Pinot Noir from the Russian River Valley, David Ramey is always a producer of perfection. 3. La Spinetta 2017 Barbera d’Asti Ca Di Pian | Because they’ll drink whatever you drink and La Spinetta is just so darn good! This classic full-bodied Barbera d’Asti from Piedmont has an energizing acidity with ripe plum and blackberry flavors. Another great DRINK ME NOW option + a pretty sure thing! $21
