Playdate Wines - The “Au Naturel” Playdate

The “Au Naturel ” Playdate

Whether its having a changed perception on life since the pandemic, a minimalistic style or for health reasons, the “Au Naturel” Playdates are those free from pesticides, chemicals, makeup, and aid in free play in the great outdoors with the use of the imagination where sticks and stones are your friends here (but not to throw obviously).  Essentially, these playdates have a ‘from the ground up mentality’ in every way. What to bring to these types of playdates? Low intervention natural wines!

2018 Negroamaro Rosato Martha Stoumen | Martha Stoumen grows grapes and makes natural wine in Northern California. She uses a minimalistic wine making approach and employs patience as her guide making some truly remarkable and true to ‘Napa’ wines. Bringing a little of piece of the heel of Italy to Nor Cal, this Negroamaro Rosato is VIBRANT! Strawberry, agave, toast and almond on the nose and bright acidity, strawberry jam and clean on the palate. The perfect summer sipper for these “Au Naturel” Playdates! | $42

(alternative to the Negroamaro above)

2020 Nero D’Avola  | From Mendocino, CA |  $35

2018 Sanford & Benedict Pinot Noir by Liquid Farm - Liquid Farms produces low intervention wines from Sta Rita Hills in Santa Barbara. Originally own-rooted Merlot, Liquid Farms quickly grafted Pinot Noir onto the originally planted Merlot creating an extremely unique and fabulous Pinot for the second year in a row. With only 75 cases, this Pinot is exquisite and something you’ve never tasted before! A gorgeously raw mix of cherry, strawberry, pomegranate with bits of forest floor and lavender are very apparent making it a complex yet elegant wine. | $74
