An Easter Brunch Pairing Menu

I’m hopeful we are getting closer to a time when we can all gather again for holidays, birthdays, special occasions and whenever we please without worry.  Until then, I’m putting “normalcy” vibes out into the universe by preparing a full on Easter Brunch with a little taste of everything! Sweet, savory, healthy and an afternoon snack - since that’s how holidays usually end up, a day full of eating + drinking!  I’ve prepared a one stop shop to create your perfect Easter Brunch pairing menu full with links to wines and recipes below! Cheers to the future of “larger” gatherings and in-home entertaining!

Wines

I love the idea of always having the option of a red and a white on the table to appease all preferences. Wines I’m loving right now that are versatile yet still uphold quality, structure and complexity are from one of the most trusted and revered wine houses in Burgundy, Louis Jadot.

Suggested Wine

  • Louis Jadot Pouilly-Fuissé | ~$26

The Pouilly-Fuissé is an elegant Chardonnay, the perfect balance of smooth pear, bites of citrusy lemon and subtle creaminess making it extremely versatile when it comes to food. Great with the Spring Frittata (with ricotta) and can stand up to the shaved parmesan in the asparagus salad!

  • Louis Jadot Beaujolais-Villages | ~$13

With grapes sourced from only the finest sites within the Beaujolais-Villages appellation in Northern Beaujolais, this Gamay is exquisite. An abundance of ripe red berries gives it lots of juiciness yet is subtly tart. The perfect transition to pair with the french inspired cheese board on the menu!

What would Easter brunch be without a sweet treat with a delicious mimosa!  I love using a brut Prosecco to curate the perfect Mimosa for Easter Sunday. Prosecco is slightly sweet so you will only need a splash of orange juice to mix. The waffles and the baked oatmeal are perfect for this must mimosa!  A few go-to’s below:

Wishing everyone a lovely Easter Weekend!
